back of house - conservatory with bifold doors

What is the difference between bifold doors and patio doors?

Both styles consist of multiple large panes of glazing which layer over each other. The difference is that patio doors slide seamlessly over each other via tracks. The leaves of bifold doors, however, fold over each other and stack up, in a concertina style. They can be moved neatly over to the side, giving you complete control over your home’s air ventilation.

Light, space and minimalist aesthetics are incredibly popular amongst architects and homeowners. This is exactly what bifold doors offer. With slim frames and large glass panes, they fill your home with natural pure, unobstructed light. In the garden, they also help to create a brilliant space for socialising and hosting gatherings. In every sense, a new set of bifolds promote a positive and healthy wellbeing. As a local, family-run business, this is our priority.

    uPVC and aluminium bifold doors

As an independent business, we have access to a complete range of products and materials. That means we can tailor your bifold doors to the exact style and specifications of your South West home. uPVC is an incredibly resilient, versatile and cost-effective material for bifold door frames. When it comes to sheer strength, however, aluminium is unbeatable. Able to support larger glass panes with minimal frame width, aluminium bifold doors have the slimmest sightlines.

With aluminium bifold doors, you can enjoy the most sleek, modern aesthetics, and gain access to completely unobstructed views. Furthermore, with state-of-the-art polyamide thermal breaking technology, aluminium door frames have never been more thermally efficient. Whichever material you choose, outstanding temperature control and lower energy bills are a certainty.
